I dont think DOS will do any spillover, if by a miracle they do a quarterly spillover it can happen only in december, The whole idea of spillover is if there are any leftover visas they have to use it by the end of the year (i.e spetember 30) or if they do quarterly spillover as the law says then they have to do it by the end of the quarter i.e Dec 31, march 31, June 30.
If the eb2 does not move to atleast march 2005 then it means DOS is not doing quarterly spillover.

Dude, You are looking at not getting a RFE based on the pics. Not that picture people or JCPenny takes great pics and make u look like Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise.

I got 2 RFE's for pictures only. Those are the only 2 RFE's till date for me.
I had real bad experience with digital pics. But there are many people who didnt have any issues. So it is all your luck.
If you have RFE, it sets u back by 2 months for the approval.

My experience with Picture People was ok - fair, I guess those are fine pictures as per USCIS specifications, but nothing out of the ordinary. 14.99 for a set of 4 pictures. Set me back about $80 for 3 sets of 8 pictures.
But my own pictures came out better and are as per specifications. The question is whether to take a chance in case i missed anything or to go with Ok-Fair pictures from Picture People. decisions.. decisions... damn.. retrogression

I understand that there is lot of fear among applicants that USCIS might retrogress the dates interimly sometime in july due to the expected high volume of applications filing in the begining of july.
To minimize the chance of USCIS from taking any such steps, shall we all unite and file the applications on a specific date in july probably on 30th of july? This will accomodate all applicants...so that we shall all be winners and use this opportunity to our advantage instead of competing amongst each other...where only a few will be winners and others will be loosers.
This will also reduce the pressure among applicants , attorneys and doctors.
Can the AILA cooperate? Will there be unity amongst applicants to make this possible??? any ideas ??

So, start sending whenever your docs are ready and good to go. Since we got a month, all filings will be distributed to whole month, and nobody or media cares. If they receive all on a particular one day, then it will be in news unnecessarily. Then, everybody starts hating GC applicants like the way it is happening for H1Bs because of mass filings on Apr 2nd 2007.
So, please don't bring these ideas to forums for your personal benefit. If you are waiting on for some documents to end of next month, just you only wait, not all of us. We want to go and file. Most of us are already waited enough time to get a chance like this.

Hi All,
Looks like there are interpretation issues for few IV members (I'm not against to any member or isolating any one).
However, I have noticed interpretation issues in understanding a thread / posting for few members (based on their reaction).
The way RED dots are given really pinches to the posting owner.
My GC has been approved and I have not married yet. So I have posted my issue on thread and seeking helping from fellow IV members. I have received nice responses. I also have noticed the following comments on my control panel.
Looks like, some members have serious interpretation issues. They all gave me RED DOTS.
I really don't understand, why some one behaves like this when some one else has a real problem

May be, we have to do some thing in this cases.
Ps: This is con traversal topic, See how others react based on their interpretation .
You can't fix everything. Be ready for both.
Here are some ways to handle this:
1. Take it easy (Long term solution)
2. Don't click on the "UserCP" link (Short term)
3. Take a break from IV for few weeks (Short term)
4. Open few threads and give reds left and right for 5 people (Immediate relief)

You can bring UP TO 4 spouses on H4 visa. That's why it is called H4. Similarly on F2, you can only bring 2 spouses, Ah...students do not make that kind of money to support more than 2 spouses. USCIS thinks so much about us.

Sorry to hear about your situation. You should've taken unpaid leave for two weeks instead of a lay off. Now you definitely should not file AC21 and hope that the USCIS will not issue RFE (rarely happens). It doesn't matter how you quit, if the USCIS finds about it, it will probably deny I-485.
Regarding Shusterman's Q&A. I am not sure where is he coming from. The law does not provide for lay-off exception.
Recently I heard that if you are laid off from the company, then the 180 days period won't come into picutre and you can very well move to another company, provided your I-140 is approved and not revoked. I think they have made some modifications recently to the law on this type of cases. Talk to your Lawer to find out these changes.
