Thanks to all for their prompt reply on my situation. I am in NJ/NY area. And considering short term course during the period of Jun 2008 to October 2008. Which is almost 3 months. Any one have any idea if any kaplan center or community college provide courses or I20 in summer session?
Getting job in university and some non profit organization is another good option. If we consider that, we can apply for H1 anytime? Please advise some more in this option.

USCIS is making contradictory statements. First they release an update that they have processed all applications mailed before July 1 but when I call customer service and tell them that my application was mailed on June 11 and that I am still waiting for the checks to be cashed they say wait for 90 days.
Many July 2nd filers have had their checks cashed (as per ). Have you verified that your application reached on June 11 via fedex?

Received receipts for both yesterday August 3rd.
Sit tight and relax, everyone will get theirs.
I thought your lawyer is supposed to get the receipts if you had filled G-28.

Your employer did not put a gun to your head and told you to fake your resume. You wanted a quick way to get into a job and you knew what you were doing.
Like someone else here has commented, you both deserve to pay the price for what you have done!

Its been 6 months alreay since I am on H1B visa.
He made me modify my actual experience to include fake projects .
Now I am thinking of filing a complaint to DOL.
I have my H1B petition and offer letter from the employer.
But I am worried that if I file complaint ,my employer will threaten me telling that I faked my experience and submitted fake resumes.
What should I do? Will DOL take any action against me?
Any success stories of DOL complaint filing?

Denail from CSC
Reason: Employer didn't follow labor rules in paying for some of the other employees.
Employer is saying he will appeal the denial but few more questions.
I heard that while appeal is in process I can't work. Also, I still need to get the EAD. So how can I work legally ?
Can another employer file my H1 transfer in normal processing ? ( I will request my original employer that I will come back and work for him after I get the EAD, the reason for normal processing instead of premium is to get some time until I get EAD.)
Can I start work for the other employer from the day of the H1b filing or have to wait until I get the H1b approval ( my h1 already got expired ) ?

I am assuming your GC is "employment based".
If so , the basis of your GC application and hence I485 is your employment. The moment you don't have employment , you loose the basis for your application.
By applying for the benefits , you are risking your application for GC. I thought there was a case where a person got denial based on their application for unemployment benefits.

In your euphoria, please don't forget that we have a long struggle in front of us and Immigration Voice needs all the support that you can give.

Congratulations you started the process, Now relax and wait. Without any favourable legislation It can be while before you can apply for your AOS. Meanwhile have labor and I 140 approved.

I chose CP in my I140 but filed for AOS.
I guess there is a procedure for switching from AOS to CP, but just wanted to know what you got to say.

May I know if H1 transfer has any affect on parent�s arrival during the transfer? I sponsored their visa using company A's employment letters and they have a valid visa. Do I need to get a letter from my new employer to avoid issues at POE? At the time of parent�s arrival, I would be working for company A, but by the time they return, I will be switching to company B and moving to a different city. My H1 transfer is already in process.
There should not be any issues with your parents arriving while your transfer is in progress since you'll be working with Company A at the time they enter the country.

This client is a direct client to my company and there are no middle layers or vendors. So like you said if I can get an email from the client that they can't give me the letter via their corporate email would work ? Would this suffice to open a MTR ?

If you want to make decisions do it based on career progress not on GC.
I seriously doubt if you can get your GC IMHO, reason being with 7 % of 90000 being a small number for any country. Particularly India / China, DO you know something - there are thousands in line from 2002 onwards waiting to file 485.
Even after 10 years of wait the number will still not be enough to fill the 485 backlog. I do not want to sound as someone not wishing you well. I am touching on ground realities.

Actually it is the G28 form that you sign to give authorization for your lawyer to represent you. It is valid just the one time when they file the forms and not considered as for your life of your form/application.
This means, that in future all the corresponsence related to the form in case of I-485 will be forwarded to you aswell as your lawer/company immigration dept by USCIS. For example, if USCIS sends a FP notice, that both of you guys (You and Company lawer) will receive the copy.

Does anyone know what happens when the original hard copy of PERM is lost. Can one file 140 with just the copy that you can get online from DOL site
