Looks like TSC is approving many cases. NSC is not... come on Nebraska..!
In 2007 when I and my friend filed 485s with the same PD, his went to TSC and mine to NSC. He got his GC in 2007 and I am still waiting...

My daughter aged out a couple of years ago due to the fact that my husband's labor was in process and it took about 2 plus years to get approved. Another thing is we have no options at all because our child is severely handicapped and we came here only to participate in a research and never went back as doctors advised her to stay here due to her health issues. We continue to keep her in legal status by applying for B2 visa all the time and which USCIS has been kind enough to grant it to her based on doctor's letters. I hope something is done for the children who have aged out. I even took up our case through Senator's office but nothing happened. It would be really great if IV could do something for the Aged Out Children and parents. I had to leave the job and get into H4 due to her ill health and be her primary care giver.

immuser - I agree, although I rent a 2 bed 2 bath 1000 sq feet apartment. It is nowhere close to a 4 bedroom home. Nevertheless, I sleep very well at night knowing the fact that I have zero debt on my head in this economy. For some people it is very important! There are people out there, with 100K debt and they have no worries.
When you lose all your battles, home is a place where you come back and think, at least I have a roof on my head. In this country, home has become a place, when after losing all your battles, you come back and think, what do I do with this elephant?

Not true - a small apt is a small apt no matter what. Yes, you can live with peace of mind in a small apt, and yes you can live happily in a small apt. This does not equate to quality of life. The "quality of life" in a 4 bedroom house with back yard is greater than that in a small 650 sq ft single bedroom apt ( if you put the same person who was happy in the small apt into the 4 bedroom house - even if his happiness level remains the same, his quality of life just went up)

There are 13 guys voted "NO". May I know why. These guys already got approval or what? If so, Please remember this voting is only for people are struck in Perm process.
Its a stupid poll, there will be people lurking around selection 'No' or 'Maybe' as an answer just for fun. We just need to count by the number of people posting Audit details. Poll does not make any sense to me OR we just need 1 answer: Yes:p

Well I am one of those guys who visits immigrationvoice almost on a daily basis and benefit a lot, but never bothered to even think about making a contribution.
The reason behind this is not so much a matter of not wanting to contribute, but just a preconceived notion of "What difference can my contribution make".
Your post is certainly an eye opener.
We complain so much about the lack of a quick turnaround for our issues, yet expect someone else to work to resolve the problem, while shamelessly hoping to benefit from the resolution with zero participation in the efforts.
Sorry IV, for my past indifference. I have started my monthly $20 contribution and hope to increase it in the near future.

Hi,
I have entered US on H4 and then I got my H1. I wanted to go to Mexico for my H1 stamping as I have to go to my home country and come back. When I saw my paystubs I found that the SSN number on my paystubs was not correct. I verified with my employer and he says it was his mistake.
Can we correct and regenrate the paystubs with correct SSN. Will these paystubs cause a problem for me during my stamping in mexico. I started working only 7 months ago and I do not have W2 till now. Please advice on how to deal with this.
Its not a big deal. I am surprised, why they even print SSN on your pay-stub. That practice is long gone, because of all the identity theft issues. I dont have my SSN on my paystubs.
Just ignore it....and if they ask, just say "Oh!! I didn't realize that...i'll have to ask the company HR to rectify the error..."

Should the ad have to be placed at State work agency ONLY for 60 days or is there any other place it can be substituted for? Since the State workagency website is down and they are not sure when its going to be up and running is there a possibility that I can some other means instead of the SWA? Any responses would be appreciated.

Called my local congressman's office and left a voice message. Called the offices of Bob Menendez and Henry Cuellar. Rep. Menendez's staff noted down my message and said they will pass it on. Rep. Cuellar's staff mentioned that some of the contents of the bills are contradictory to the things that he supports and got into talking about comprehensive reform. I politely listened to him and reiterated my request, mentioning that his support was very important to get moving on immigration reform. Have to call the other members now. Seemed quite daunting initially However I will try to finish calling the other members as well. Do we still call the office of Ciro Rodriguez ? Going by the postings, they seem to be against the bills.

My attorney sent an email inquiry to DOL regarding my case. Within less than 12 hours a response was received -
It sounds like a pre-written text that goes to every inquiry they get.
Thanks for sharing your experience, I dont buy into their FIFO process. May be its applicable in the Non-Audit cases but cases that get audited are just being piled up at someone's desk and that person is most likely dead (does not exist) :mad:

Hello,
Could someone please give me the advice on following concerns.
I have filed my I 485 2.5 years back and got into retrogression, got married about a year back and my wife is in US on H4 as I am maintaining my H1B visa. My questions are
1) Is it possible to file derivative I 485 for my wife myself withoug going thru attorney as I dont have any attorney currently.
2)If my I 485 is approved before I file my spouse I 485, is it Okay to file I 485 for the spouse as normal case ?

I truly believe, though IV's efforts can impact a little bit, they have to join other organizations to strengthen the efforts and results.
As I said before, IV should step up for EB3-I/C/ROW cause since policies seem to be working in favor of other EBs (which is good) but EB3 is stuck..
Here are some paths to consider.
1. IV has established relationships with some key politicians through the advocacy days, may be that channel can work
or
2. Allow interfiling with spouse
or
3. Allow folks to file I-485 for an approved I-140 even if the dates are not current
or
4. Have an endless EAD and AP (by endless I mean 5 years)
or
5. Recapture (Tie it to a bill...eg Zoe Lofgren or Feigngold will not sign Finance reform bill unless lost EB visas are recaptured). It will help EB2 folks as well. Give Feingold a call, he is voting no on Finance reform. May be he can kick in something for legal EB folks (similar to cornhusker) and may vote Yes and be the 60th vote.
What I suggest you guys to do is build upon these ideas above rather than destroy it or be sarcastic about it.
